Private Time - 2011
Private Time is an audio installation that was a part of the solo exhibition "It's Complicated." Private Time was played on continuous loop in the bathrooms of the gallery space. Inspired by theatrical diction exercises, Private Time investigates how we use brief reprises from social engagement to "rehearse" ourselves, and interrogates the multiple internal voices that may be driving that rehearsal.
