A Personal Elephant (2012)

A Personal Elephant is a year long document of the artists’ sex life. The outcome was a knitted sexual diary, based on the production of 10 rows of knitted material per day. The artist encoded information about acts of intercourse and partners within the color scheme of the scarf. Furthermore, the artist then produced a series of photographs (inspired by fashion photography) with the scarf as attire. Finally, the work is accompanied by a comic-book text which further clarifies the method of production. Further images of the works available here.
